Step into a space where art history inspires modern creativity. In these hands-on sessions, students travel through time and geography to explore legendary artists, historical styles, and regional movements. By studying the techniques of the greats, students unlock their own creativity through drawing, painting, and mixed media.

Celebrating America 250 Event in Cottleville, Missouri 4pm - 7pm
Date: June 16, 2026
Location: The Art Corner presented by Dawn Benson will be located at Pavilion B in Legacy Park, beginning at 5:00 PM immediately following the festivities at City Hall. As part of our July 4th 250-Year Celebration, join us for a special community art experience where creativity meets history. Residents are invited to help create two meaningful pieces that will represent our city for generations to come: A community canvas to be proudly displayed at Cottleville City Hall. A collaborative mural to be sealed in the Cottleville Time Capsule, to be opened in 50 years
Strong Tower Ranch Day Camps - Art lessons
June 9th, 11th, 23rd, 25th and July 7th,9th ,21st, and 23rd
10am - 2pm
Location: Strong Tower Ranch - Wright City, Missouri. Campers explore drawing, mixed media, and art history in a creative and welcoming environment. Through hands-on projects, students will discover artistic techniques, make meaningful connections, create lasting memories, and express themselves through art. Each class encourages creativity, self-discovery, and the joy of learning while drawing inspiration from great artists, nature, and the world around us.

My mission is to bring joy and inspiration through vibrant, original art—brought to life in acrylic, watercolor, ink, and oil pastel.
Rooted in expressive color and painterly brushstrokes, my work captures the dynamic movement of nature and the deeply human emotions reflected in the faces of animals.
From these creations flow prints and studio art greeting cards, each designed to touch the heart and brighten your world.
I also nurture creativity through art programs for children and learners of every age—inviting all to explore, imagine, and awaken the artist within, while connecting their journey to the stories of art history and the great masters.

Dawn Benson is a self-taught mixed media artist and painter whose work brings joy to life. Based in Saint Charles, Missouri, her expressive style blends bold color and energetic lines with inativimage accents—a creative language born from both her rich imagination and her healing journey.
